I was wondering if anyone here knew the differences in technology a Rich Dental School would have over a poor one.

I was thinking Computer EVERYTHING... but specifically what dentistry tools which are computer based.

There are alot of things that go into technology of a dental school. This is one of the things that will heavily affect my decision on choice of dental schools.

First the is the amount of computer-related tools used by the students (this includes digital radiography, electronic charts and patient charting tools.) These schools require that you have a laptop to read or access patient information at your chair. They may also be used for electronic texts

There is also the novelty of dental equipment and dental techniques. Many schools now have required procedures for implant restorations, or at least the option of performing these. Newer equipment may include digital (or other types of) radiography, CADCAM (Cerec machines for making instant crowns), or types of dental materials.
