Im currently working at an office, they have me do odd jobs and even provide suction once in a while. I have about 100 hours so far. Right now I feel like I need to focus on my classes and gpa. Would you recommend that I stop?

Also if I do stop when do I get the letter? I might plan on volunteering some more in the spring semester. Should I wait till then to have a recomendation written or get it now?

when i volunteered during school, i went once a week, 4 hrs a week. sometimes when school work got busy i may skip it one, two or even three weeks in a row. so manage ur time...school and gpa is a priority. usually when you volunteer, especially at a private dental office, the dentists don't care if u are late or miss a couple weeks, just let them know beforehand so they know u didn't just run away.

and i would ask for the LOR a couple of months before u plan on submitting ur aadsas application.
