"Dentine" -- isn't this how the Brits spell it?

Got another one for you. Some of the folks in my class call it a typhodont rather than a typodont. The more I paid attention, I noticed that only Indian/Pakistani students spell it that way. Did a web search and the only sites where this spelling occurs are based in India. Anyone know why typhodont as opposed to typodont?

Oh, i didn't know it was a poll on the correct spelling. I thought it was which one i would rather chew on. Isn't Dentine that cinnamon gum?
