dentist LOR questions

I have a dentist that's willing to right a LOR for me. I've been shadowing her for about 2 years now and she's extremely helpful.

However, I also have the chief and the head of the dental clinic that's also willing to write me one, however I don't directly shadow him but he answers questions I have when he's doing procedures. He also knows alot of people and have connections with many dental schools.

Is it possible for both of them to cowrite 1 for me?
I haven't brought the idea yet, but the dentist that I'm shadowing gave me the idea.

Can you do this?
Both individual are extremely nice and told me that they just want me to get in!

sounds like a good idea at first but don't do it. "hey can you write me a good rec. by the way, i'm not confident that you understand how awesome i am so i'm going to make you write this with another dentist." choose the dentist who knows you best, sounds like the first guy. there's nothing wrong with letting the other guy know, 'hey, i already asked this other guy to write me a rec but i'd love it if you could put me in contact with some people at x dental school because it's my first choice'

Hmmm, that's tough!

On one hand you should choose the first dentist, who has known you the longest, and probably knows you better than the other.

But on the other hand, if the other dentist has connections - as in, he may possibly know ad com people - that could help you a lot too!

Lol, maybe you propose the idea of the co-letter? Idk if they would do something like that though.

I would get both to write letters first, and then decide which to use for your dentist letter on AADSAS. Remember, there are always schools (like Penn) that will take extra materials mailed in on your behalf. Some schools won't take any extra credentials, but a good letter is always worth having!
