  1. Pre-Dental
So with this whole virus thing, my shadowing hours had to be cut back in March and I haven't shadowed since. Obviously most schools are being a bit lenient regarding the amount of shadowing hours acquired regarding the virus this year. I did not shadow the dentist I was previously with that long, and obviously I need a LOR from a dentist. How am I suppose to get a LOR from a dentist without being able to shadow them etc.?

are you applying this cycle? If not, it's not that big of a deal since you can make up for lost time in the near future. But I am applying rn and was shadowing someone from January until mid march until dental offices in my state were forced to close. I still managed around 90-100 hours in those 3 months which is plenty of time to build a relationship IMO. I kept in touch with the Dr. and told her the importance of a letter from a dentist and had a few calls with her eventually asking for a letter. She wrote me a great letter which will help me alot this cycle. Just ask the person you were shadowing worst they can do is say no and even if you shadowed for 20hrs thats still enough time to speak for someone's character IMO.
