Hi all,
I'm a predent interested in general dentistry. I've done quite a bit of shadowing (including perio which is rather invasive) and I usually ask the dentist or the assistants what they think/how they would rate the "gross" factor in dentistry. Usually people just tell me it stinks sometimes, but no one really elaborates. I'm just kind of curious what all of your experiences have been?
I definitely wouldn't say I'm squirmish, but there have been times when feel a little nauseous in bio classes (cutting open cat stomach in anatomy lab, learning about gangrene in micro). I'd really appreciate the insight!
