can any one tell me the options for a foreign trained dentist to practise in NZ. any specific link? any little information will be of great help. thanks.

No, I'm not an FTD... I am from NZ but I am now practicing in the US. You can try contacting the University of Otago Dental School and ask them if they have the Bridging Course held in Dunedin for foreign trained dentists. The course is geared towards refreshing previous graduates and newly arrived immigrant dentists before they take their registration exam (NZDREX).
