Would love to know how much people are paying for their disability insurance?

The average cost for disability insurance is between 1 percent to 4 percent of your annual income. Depending on age, gender, state, and policy benefits.

Sample rates for a $5,000 monthly benefit:
  • Age 25 - $135 - $203 / month
  • Age 35 - $185 - $306 / month
  • Age 45 - $291 - $404 / month
  • Age 55 - $412 - $449 / month

Which is is good company?

Guardian, Principal, Standard, MassMutual, and Ameritas are the top 5 disability insurance companies.

Out of those, Guardian and MassMutual have the best policy language.
