Dentists Lung Disease

Not sure if this belongs here but I've come across some article talking how some dentists in Virginia have been severely ill and even died due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis between 2000 and 2015. I don't know if someone if you guys have read about this but what are your thoughts.

I think it was mentioned in the article that some of these dentists didn't use safety gear when handling toxic materials in the early stage of their careers.

Seems like using the right masks, safety gear, air purifiers, ventilation systems, etc. will be crucial.
