imo dentistry is one of the best kept secrets of the health care profession, and let's keep it the way it is.

as I've said in another forum, i'll be charging $30 for 15 min of tatar removal, $60 for a 15min oral examination, and a hundred or two for a 30min filling.

a urologist just lectured today, and he says that urology is a great specialty because you make a lot of money and 90% of the time your patients walk out of the door feeling better, while the same can not be said of other specialties where 25% get better, 25% get worse, and the rest are the same as before.

the perks he mentioned sure apply to dentistry. it's lucrative, and you make immediate impact on patients. now that's what i call instant gratification!

Sure, why not? It's an internet forum, afterall. People can post whatever crap they wish to post.

And like Lestat said, dentistry is THE biggest secret in healthcare (not one of the biggest, THE biggest) and most of us want to keep it that way.

And, to answer the PR poster, there are many dental schools that wouldn't even touch him with a 3.2 or 3.3 GPA. Some would, but many others wouldn't give his application a second look.
