is this clinical research, done through some sort of medical facility? if so, then i'd say it's clinical experience. mentally ill people are patients, after all, and they often have interesting experiences within our healthcare system. (can you tell i work with psych patients every day? 😉)
i'm not sure i completely understand who's conducting the study, but if it's under the auspices of an MD and you're surveying her patients then i'd say it's clinical. still a bit fuzzy though... make sure to explain it well on AMCAS.
