During third year rotations, I have already run into a whole bunch of dermatology cases. I am wondering if there is good, concise but thorough, reference for someone (me) who needs to look up stuff frequently but also has no long term interest in the field. Hopefully it would also be relatively easy to carry around in my bag.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Clinical Dermatology Illustrated, A Regional Approach, 3rd Edition
John R.T. Reeves, Howard I. Maibach
F.A. Davis Company, Philadelphia
Lots of color pics, small enough (barely) to carry in your coat pocket.

A slightly larger but also slightly better book is a clinical derm book by Fitzpatrick (not the 25lb. two volume set). Too large for your coat pocket, but small enough for a bag....

hth,
Phil R.
