Does anyone know the distinction for part time vs temporary when it comes to extracurriculars?

I believe pt vs temp is more of a job distinction for which you got compensated. Temp work is basically a designation for employment in which you predetermine a contract number of hours or duration of time. Part time is moreso a semi permanent job where you work less than 32 hours a week. Anything above that then you are full time.

Above poster gave a pretty good explanation.

I would say temporary is something you take on knowing the end date in the near future, while part-time is something that could technically go on indefinitely.

Applying that concept to extracurriculars...

Temporary: Helping out at an event once or twice.

Part-time: Being an active member of a student org.
