Anyone else consider this? With all of the reading/computer work I do, I figure it is more healthy to do it while walking. What with the bugaboo about long periods of sitting and whatnot...

No. I exercise during study breaks (do push ups and stuff).

ucf has them in the upper floor lobbies for students to study at

We just got these in our library. I'm looking forward to trying it out. I work out most days, but I just can't sit all day, at least not all hunched over studying.

You guys are probably right about the focus part of it, but it could work if you are doing mostly review.

I feel like you'd never be able to focus as much. I'd rather just go hard when I do work, and then go hard when I'm training.
Ive actually done reading on the treadmill for a couple years now, for me just a slow pace walk while reading helps me to stay focused for a very long period of time. Im also the type that cant sit still

I read and run on the treadmill at the gym. Works well enough. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Maybe I'd get one of those contraptions above for the house -- that is, when I'm a rich doctor. :naughty:

i would trip by the time I read the first line in robbins

I would take it if they positioned the treadmills behind stairmasters.

Yum.

Love mine.

I'm up to typing 103 wpm at 6 min/mile.

lol are you serious? I'm surprised you can accurate type while running at that pace, as that's way different than walking.

this is how my dad used to do cardio at the gym

dammit i miss my 3AM workouts with the old man

Well I bought my Lifespan DT1200 and picking it up Tuesday. I don't believe the whole 6 min mile pace thing, though, I have it confirmed that the unit only goes up to 4mph.

Check out the FitDesk. I got one for Christmas and its been great.

Wait so you're going to have people sweating in the library? That'll smell good I'm sure

I wonder if they have an attachment that attaches to a bar so when doing 8 rep paused squats for sheer torture, I can learn micro while I'm in the hole.

Not sure what speed they max out at, but I'm under the impression that these desks are for walking at a slow-mod pace while still being able to work. So if anyone is sweating or looking to break a sweat, they should probably just go to the gym.

Even if people were getting all schweddy, it couldn't possibly smell any worse than it does during pre-exam week.

I have a desk for my elliptical. I use it all the time (at least an hour or so a day). Can't go at a super fast pace, but it works well enough.
