Hey, I've been following various threads on this forum for a while and find the advice to be very useful. I recently took the CBSE offered at my school and did very poorly (175) 🙁. My test is in 6 weeks and I really can't push it any further =/ I studied about 40% of First Aid before the CBSE and supplemented a little from BRS physio, but didn't read anything else. My UWorld average is currently 45% (I did roughly 1/4 of the entire bank). Realistically, how much can I raise my score in 6 weeks? Does anyone have any advice on the most effective way to raise my score? I'd like to get through all the Kaplan books (except path and physio, for which I want to use BRS), UWorld questions, and of course FA. Is there anything else I should be doing??? Please help!!!

I dont think you can go through all of this in 6 weeks and retain it all. The priority should be to complete all uw and retain it well. Also u must know facts regarding concepts tested in uw questions from fa (e.g, viral classifications, embryo derivatives etc.) I'd start with my weaknesses from uw, and move up from there.

Kaplans cover much more than is needed. I've just posted my exam exp, u can read that.

Good luck.

thanks...realistically, how much could i raise my score in this amount of time? is it realistic to aim for 220?

Yes but it depends on how much studying you had done before taking that basic science comp.
Was it after a dedicated period of study, right after school ended or 2 months before the end of school like some schools do? If its the latter, your score may be artificially low and you may need to consider taking an NBME self assesment in the next week or so to see where you really stand
