Anyone know if NaHCO3 is a strong base or a weak base? Also is benozoic acid weaker than phenol? So if benzoic acid is the weakest acid, then it will react with the strongest base (NaHCO3) correct?

why would a carboxylic acid be weaker than an alcohol? to determine strengths of bases try to match them up with their conjugate acids..and see which is the strongest there. stronger acids will have the weak conjugate base
