I got this problem right, but when converting the newman into a fischer, does anyone know if it would be acceptable to keep the back the same while switching the front? (i.e., the opposite of what he did. This would give you SS instead of the answer, RR. Would this still be acceptable? Because either way you would still get a diastereomer.
