Question reads:
Which statement is false?
a) Calcitonin stimulates osteoclastic activity
b) ADH and oxytocin are made by the hypothalamus and stored in the posterior pituitary gland
c) ADH may increase blood pressure because it allows the collecting ducts of kidney to be more permeable to H2O
d) The adrenal medulla synthesizes adrenaline and noradrenaline
e) Thyroxin increases the basal metabolic rate
Answer is a) but the explanation has nothing to do with this question. I just want to make sure that there is no error.
Also, I know aldosterone action results in increase in water volume and blood pressure. ADH results in water retention too, but does ADH also increase blood pressure?
Any explanation on choice a) would be appreciated too
Thanks for the help!
