Destroyer difficulty..

Alright,
My test is in about a month, and i've been studying subject by subject.
I was pretty confident in gen chem, and after studying kaplan blue book, I thought I mastered the material. When i went on to destroyer, I've been getting 20/30 ish all the way (i've been solving 30 questions at a time to match it with the real dat). I'm so shocked and dissapointed. At least I'm learning a lot, but I'm really scared. how difficult do you guys find destroyer?? 20/30 corresponds to like a 15 on the real dat...=(

i feel ya on all this...dat in 3 weeks...its not too bad... just keep working through it and learning how to do the problems..they have great explanations...i believe destroyer is harder....20/30 is approximately a 17...how do i know?? in the barron's book after the explanations it gives approximates on how many questions is approximately what score.it has a whole scoring guide...might wanna check it out (not sure how it measures up though)..hope this helps...hang in there .... keep reading and it'll get better..

Destroyer is difficult, but i feel that it explanations are very good and you learn from them. Its good to start with topscore, achiever and kaplan. i also go back to my college textbooks to review some topics. I feel you should use everything that you can get your hands on and just learn from your mistakes.

The Dat Destroyer is head over heels harder than the Kaplan Blue Book! Stick with it and it will surely "toughen" you up for the real test.

17 is not bad actually. All you need is more practice & you will be able to pull it upto 20 easily. Good luck!

Don`t worry man, Destroyer is even harder than a real DAT. It is a good preparations book. It gives you all the examples you need even with a little greater degree of difficulty. If you score gread on the Destroyer you will do very well on the real DAT. Any concepts that you do not understand from the Destroyer, just look it up in General chem book.

Yeah, the Destroyer is tough, but a lot of the questions tie into other concepts... Dr. Romano did that on purpose to get maximum amount of info out of a single question. Dont worry, sounds like you are on the right track and you've got plenty of time to get the destroyer down. By the way very good solutions to all the questions, that are packed with massive info.
