48 really isnt that long if you understand what you're doing and get the pattern. I just did this problem in less then a minute.
51. It's pretty obvious Na+ has the greatest ionization energy. Na+ and Ar have the same number of valence/electrons BUT Na+ has one extra proton. Greater effective nuclear charge, so holds the electrons tighter then Ar which means greater ionization energy.
