Question goes as follows;

Which statement(s) are false;

a.SiO2 and graphite are examples of ionic solids
b. a solution of K2Cr2O7 is expected to be colored
c.Magnesium has third ionization energy slighty higher than its second
d. B AND C
e. A and C

The answer given was A and C but i dont see how C can be false...

Can someone confirm?

Magnesium can only lose 2 electrons after that to lose the third electron it would require a LOT HIGHER IONIZATION ENERGY than it's second ionization energy..

Choice C says slightly higher.. It should have been a lot higher Ionization energy..
