Ok, Destroyer's Bio and Orgo are fantastic!
But...OMG...some of these problems in the gen chem section are taking way much longer to do than the questions on the practice tests I took.
Should I stop doing Destroyer's gen chem section? I feel like it is waaay overkill. Is it possible to get at least a 20 in gen chem with just using Chad and practice tests?

Just do it. I wanted to jump off a bridge the first time I went through GC. I skipped the ICE problems every time because I didn't feel like dealing with them. Yeah, it is a little calculation heavy but it isn't like doing it is going to hurt you on the test.

You know what I did...for 3 days I went to barnes and noble and did all of the barrons AP Chemistry and Princeton Review Chemistry 2012 practice tests! and let me tell you they are AWESOME practice + they're free!!!!

I got a 22 without Chad's. All I really used was Kaplan's white book. To me, gchem is by far the easiest section on the DAT. BUT, I still think Destroyer would be nice. From what I've heard, I bet if you can do all of Destroyer, and know some lab stuff, you could get a 30 or whatever the highest theoretical possible is for Gchem. Or, at the least, I think it is very reasonable to aim to miss only one.

I think it is pretty weird if they ask you to set up ICE tables. I seriously doubt any problems on the real test would require that (not saying you couldn't use one, but I imagine using some reasoning you could figure them out without an ICE table).

Anymore opinions on this? I have about 12 days left and I just think that going over the Chem Destroyer might be overkill...and perhaps maybe I should just stick to doing Chad's and Practice Tests.

yes its overkill, but the fact that its harder/comprehensive helps you better gain an idea on the concepts behind the questions, which atleast 2/3s of the DAT is conceptual. so push yourself through the GC sections, and understand what you get wrong. only studied chad's and destroyer for this section and got a 23. concepts concepts concepts!

C'mon cofo bro, you can do it. You already know how many times I went thru it. It will pay dividends for sure. It's like glycolysis, you have to invest 2 ATP to make 4 ATP.

...and only net 2? 😛
haha alright alright, i'm gonna get off SDN and finish the gchem section in destroyer. thanks guys, i really appreciate you all

I think destroyer Ochem is over kill. But Gchem was slightly harder and prepares you very very well.

What is the normal amount to miss on destroyer? I'm going through it 100 Q's at a time and missing about 15 per 100 in Ochem/Gchem.

Overall I think it's not too bad but I find chads quiz's much more realistic for practice.

EDIT: Just wanted to add to anyone readings this; who will be studying the DAT in the future. Chad is a must, and destroyer is pretty good, but I think the unsung hero for understanding the chems is the ACS study guide. I suggest getting these before you start your Ochem/Gchem class and go through it while in class then use it to study for the DAT after you go through chads - then hit up destroyer.
