hey - im taking the oats in a week and i dont want to jinkx myself but im feeling pretty prepared. ive tried every study material out there, so i thought id give back since everyone has been so helpful and tell you what ive found.......
My number one choice is the Destroyer! it has tons of questions and is constantly being updated. the answers all have great explanations and i found it really helpful. after using it, my scores really improved. it covers chem, orgo, bio, physics, and math. most of the questions are right on target with what we need to know. some were a little bit harder than what we'd probably be asked on the oats- but id rather be a little over prepared and seriously know my stuff than walk into the test and not know what hit me! if you can do the Destroyer id say your in good shape for the test!
i also liked the acheiver which was really helpful to practice my timing. ive been told that this too is a bit harder than the actual oat but it was comforting to know that if i could do this, than i should be able to do alright on the actual test.
i didnt like topscore much because it didnt give explanations for the questions which was frustrating when i couldnt figure out how they got their answers (acheiver gives explanations).
and i wasnt such a fan of kaplan either. since id already purchased the Destroyer- i didnt have much need for it (unless you feel like you need more practice testing yourself - i wouldnt bother with it if your getting the destroyer)
so bottom line- the Destroyer is an excellent study guide- it really covers all the bases and the acheiver is a great way to test yourself to see how your doing.
... anyways I hope this helps & good luck studying !! 🙂
