this is a pretty simple question but im confused bout the signs....when he sets the equation to equal 114, why does he subtract .15x from .18(1200-x), shouldnt they be added?

If you look carefully it says one goes up while the other goes down, if you are referring to the question i am remembering. It says that one goes down by 18% while the other increases by 15.
