Fischer projection is a topview of the molecule. The lines that are planar to the page is on the vertical axis while the bonds that go into and out of the page is on the horizontal axis of a fischer projection. Newmann projection is looking down a carbon-carbon bond. Best way to draw that is the atom going out of the page is to the right and the one going into the page is to the left and the one that is on the same plane of the page (depending if it's pointing up or down) will point up or down on that projection.
