I was just wondering if this reaction would produce 2 equivalents of answer B due to there being two borons. Is this correct?

Dichromate will reduce (I think...f***ing hate ox/redox terms) secondary alcohol to a ketone. Remember - chromate is strong, PCC is weak.

Ph3P signifies Wittig Reaction, which takes any carbonyl bond and creates an alkene with the attached group (in this case methyl). 2nd step product would be methyl cyclohexane.

Borohydride/THF signifies Anti-Markovnikov addition of OH, therefore OH is added to the primary carbon on the methyl group instead of the tertiary carbon on the ring.

Also don't think there'd be two products - the two borons in borohydride act as one entity...I think. Don't recall if that was ever marked on my orgo review sheet.
 
Yeah I believe you are right but no one cares because it's Ochem and balancing reactions don't typically matter. I think I remember chad saying BH3 could do the same thing.
