Is the Odyssey overkill for o-chem? I just went through the first 3 chapters and was like wtf?
I am not thaaat bad at o-chem but the stuff in the odyssey, I've never seen before.
Thoughts?

I went through Odyssey for the first 4 or 5 chapters and loved it.. I had to use Chad, Kaplan, and Ochem as a 2nd language first though (to get concepts down).

I wish I had time to do the rest of the book but I find myself forgetting chem as fast as I learn it..

Yes, it's overkill but if you have the time and remember the stuff, I recommend it.

I actually just went through the Elimination and Substitution Chapters and everyone on this board says know your SN1, SN2, E1, and E2 reactions and there is no better way to do it then going through those chapters. I also just finished the alkene chapter
