Can anyone explain on how to do Splitting pattern in proton NMR??? I don't get it! HOw can u tell wether its singlet doublet etc.... and also please explain to me the answer for this problem please? Thanks!

Listen I can help you out but the best thing to do is to go back to your organic chemistry book and spend 15 minutes reviewing NMR. In #143- first you got to know which one is the gamma. In this case the gamma carbon is the methyl carbon. You look to see how many Hydrogens are on the carbon next to it and use the n+1 rule. Since there are 2 Hydrogens so it will be a triplet.
