Just wanted to make sure with many of you.
Is it normal to pay extra couple bucks to get the destroyer updates?

you don't pay for the updates...go to their website and contact the makers of destroyer by email... i guess include your name and when you purchased and i'm sure they would be more than happy to help you.

I just payed 5 dollars for couple of bio questions update!!!
and, yes, I'm the original purchaser (bought it like early june).

I paid $10 for updates but there were a lot of updates for mine. I'm sure you aren't getting your money stolen from you. They don't send updates through email due to copyright issues. If you've been charged with $5 you probably have a more recent update and if you're charged $10 you probably have a more outdated version that needs more updates sent your way. $10 covers shipping costs.

If you want to receive additional questions that have been added, contact them and let them know when you purchased the Destroyer. There will be a charge for shipping/handling. You got what you paid for when you bought the original book. It's nice of them to offer to mail out additional updates, but it's not like it's something they HAVE to do. When you call to ask about updates, if you don't feel that the additional questions are worth the shipping/handling cost, then don't get them. It's that simple.

the updates are worth it. Dr. Romano tailored the new material for the "changing" dat sections. getting them is a must.

Yeah, I'm not complaining about the charges or anything. I've been around SDN for pretty long time and I don't remember somebody mentioning about having to pay for the updates. That is why I wanted to make sure with people here. Thanks for your responses!!

I think they updated it pretty regularly. Email [email protected] and check whether you have the latest updates.

How can someone get the update if they bought the used book? I guess we are screwed.

I think u are screwed if u bought the destroyer from somebody. I think that the updates are reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly helpful. The only way to get it is to get the book from the original source. then u know that u will get ur updates any time u will need it. Good Luck studying.
