Ok! So, I have a really difficult time not getting extremely overwhelmed especially since my DATs are in 2 weeks. I kept putting off Destroyer even though people have said it's one of the best things to use.

I don't like destroyer for a few reasons.
1. It's hard to adjust from paper to computer screen after doing the destroyer. I used it for gen chem but when I started doing Qvault problems, I just felt like they were not even preparing me do the same thing.
2. I feel like the problems are VERY difficult compared to any other study materials I was using.

I know they said that you should use it to build on what you know, BUT, I felt like it was over extending and I was terrified to even do 5 problems at a time. It feels like a BIG discouragement sometimes.

I've been doing Qvault problems, especially for Orgo and have been getting a 21 average on them. What's everyone's thoughts? Should I suck it up and do them, or is Qvault going to be enough?

I almost cried a few times going through it the first time, and honestly I eventually stopped caring about how many I was getting right(first time through) and just got through every problem, learning how to do it and practicing it over and over again. I almost gave up on it too so I know exactly what you're feeling. My DAT is in less than 2 weeks also and I know I'd be no where near as prepared without the destroyer.

I agree, you should definitely do destroyer and 2 weeks is plenty of time to get through and thoroughly understand it. I have both destroyer and qvault and you'd be surprised at how much destroyer teaches you about your weak areas because qvault is a bit easy in my opinion.

Destroyer will "destroy" you the first time around, but the key is to use it as a learning tool. Plus, when you see yourself getting over 50% wrong on destroyer the first time around, think of it this way: "It's better to have missed it now than have missed it on the real thing"

Hope that helps! 🙂

Destroyer is tough, but wouldn't you rather make mistakes in practice than on the actual DAT? DATQvault has a lot of mistakes especially in organic chem. I've found three just on the first test

I thought that it was beneficial to go through most of the DAT Destroyer questions for Chemistry and Ochem and all of the questions for Biology. The most important thing is to read the explanations at the end, and figure out HOW they solved the problem. However, the questions are more lengthy and difficult than the real DAT. I did almost all of the Qvault tests a week before and thought that the question content and format was spot on for the chemistrys, for biology qvault was pretty close but some questions on the real DAT were very random. I got a 24 TS and I feel that doing this really prepared me for the sciences. Hope that helps!
