For those of you using Destroyer,

Have you noticed that it is kicking your butt by exploiting all the concepts you're not good at? I'm only getting about half the O-Chem questions right, and when I look at the answers, it's simply b/c of carelesness or lack of understanding of concepts I thought I knew...and then comes G-chem, I finally understand how vapor pressure, BP elevation, and FP depression all work together.

Is the real DAT this meticulous? I got 15 days before the big day.

Yeh, when I used the Destroyer I noticed that it was forcing me to learn all the concepts I never fully understood and I felt like it was preparing me to master all the sciences on test day. And with a Total Science of 26, I guess it really worked. It's not that the DAT is so meticulous; but rather, by studying so thoroughly from the Destroyer, you will truly prepare yourself for anything the DAT throws at you on test day. I would definitely stick to it - I haven't heard anything bad about studying Destroyer so far, and my own personal experience certainly proves only good things. So just keep working it, and make sure to understand everything in there. Best of luck to you!!!

definitely agree. DAT Destroyer definitely goes through every possible concept/aspect of each section. I'm halfway through Orgo and hoping to plough through more of it tonight and tackle the remaining sections soon enough🙂 I must say it's nice to have full-explanations for each question.

I'll give you the same advice I give others who complain that they get many questions wrong when using the destroyer. First of all the destroyer questions are muuuuuccchhh harder than what you'll see on the DAT so dont sweat it. Secondly, Dr Romano gears his questions to help you perfect any inconsistancies you may have with your scientific knowledge; they are not made to get right, most of them are made to get wrong. If you are getting half of them right you are in great shape. Just study all of the Doc's explanations and know them cold and you'll be ready to tackle any DAT question. GOOD LUCK....

My first impressions of Destroyer was, "I paid $XXX for just practice questions???". But this was before i started actually doing the problems. After going through some of the orgo problems, and getting them wrong; I actually learned more by looking at the mistakes than just going through the Kaplan book. Im currently going through Bio, and man i got the first 10 problems WRONG... uh oh... =/

DAT scheduled for this Friday Sept. 29!!!
