I'm just beginning college this fall, and I'm going to Cal Poly Pomona.
However, Devry University keeps calling me, and telling me about all their good stuff. They said that I can graduate with a biomedical degree in 3 years if I was at their school, and when I come out, I can earn $50,000 a year. That sounds pretty attractive. But, I do want to go to a pharmacy school... Has anybody heard of Devry? Any opinions? I will stick to Cal poly, but I just want to hear some feedback.

Well if you want to go to pharmacy school.. I've never heard of anyone doing their prereqs at Devry

But it is listed on pharmCAS when you click "Find college"..

a few of my friends went to devry.. but they definitely arent making bank. unless they major in something that is useful and in high demand.. i would do the research on that if i were you.. otherwise i would do the pre requisites at cal poly pomona.. its cheaper (state school) and u will never have to worry whether or not its acceptable to the pharm schools.. but then again i would check for some classes..the counselors there are pretty helpful.. according to friends who went to cal poly pomona. good luck

Uh, isn't Devry a tech/vocational school that advertises on the back of matchbook covers? Maybe I'm thinking of someplace else...

Don't leave a real school, a non profit state supported school and go to a for profit school. You will pay more and get far less.

"DeVry shares tumble after profits come up short"

(Reuters) — DeVry Inc. shares fell over 11 percent on Friday, a day after the for-profit education company reported earnings short of Wall Street expectations due in part to higher marketing and administrative costs.
DeVry, which operates DeVry University, Ross University and Chamberlain College of Nursing, late on Thursday reported net income for the fiscal fourth quarter of 17 cents per share, up from nil per share a year ago, but a penny shy of the average expectation of analysts polled by Reuters Estimates.
