the least amount of secondary dentin can be found in which tooth?

mandibular cental
max central
mand 1st molar
max 1st molar
third molar

I can guess mandi. central.
There are 2 factors which determine this -
1 age of tooth eruption [ early the eruption , more will be dentin formation as in central incisor and 3rd molar will be the least]
2 surface area [ surface area of mandi. central is lowest]

I can guess mandi. central.Least amount will be found in tooth which have least surface area.
Pls. give ans

I agree with mand central but still not 100% that why not mand third molar. It is so much younger. I guss they should give a time frame for this kind of q!

ther is a q from released 2004 paper. in a CUSP TO FOSSA contacting in IC relationship maxilary first premolar is Most likly to articulate with which of this choices
A. lateral incisor
B.lateral and canine
C.first premolar(ans)
D.canine and first premolar
E.first and second premolar
but why not (E) I would be apri.. if some one explain this to me.

which tooth is endodontically difficult to treat n why?

max 1 pm
max 2 pm
mand 1 pm
mand 2 pm

I guss it is max 1 pm becuse the roots are easy to perforate.

which tooth is endodontically difficult to treat n why?

max 1 pm
max 2 pm
mand 1 pm
mand 2 pm

man 1st pm is most difficult to treat due to comman bifurcation n trifercation of of root canal so it act as enigma to endodontics

answer : 3rd molars... have least secondary dentin as the youngest tooth erupted on oral cavity

Every mandibular tooth contacts the same type tooth in the opposite jaw + one anterior to it

Secondary dentin is formed after root formation is complete, normally after the tooth has erupted and is functional. It grows much slower than primary dentin, but maintains its incremental aspect of growth. It has a similar structure to primary dentin, although its deposition is not always even around the pulp chamber. It is the growth of this dentin that causes the decrease in the size of the pulp chamber with age; cavity preparation in young patients therefore carries a greater risk of exposing the pulp

So i would agree that 3rd molar will have least amount of secondary dentine than any other tooth.

In IC max 1 st premolar articulate with 1st premolar(mandibular)

In IC max 1 st premolar articulate with 1st premolar(mandibular)

Max 1st premolar articulates with mandibular 1st and 2nd premolar. I checked the books and also its given in kaplan dentessentials...
Any references anybody???
