Hi guys,
I was wondering if any of you knows the pathophysiological process on how DM predisposes or causes glaucoma and can please explain it to me.

I know the osmotic damage by sorbitol predisposes to neuropathy and cataracts AND Non Enzymatic Glyc (NEG) predisposes to vessel occlusion (protein dep and atherosclerosis) which explains many of the other complications. Although FA puts glaucoma under NEG , I really cant picture it why or how. I only find on the net , it is associated but not much more.

So can someone please explain it to me.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Eduro

I'll give this a shot.

NEG increases microvascular permeability causing RBC leakage into the vitreous body which can migrate into the anterior chamber, causing blockage of aqueous humor outflow.

dear a winner is you , thank you very much for your answer.

I believe it has to do with neovascularization that ends up occluding outflow and causing closed angle glaucoma.

The previous explanation seems reasonable also.
