Diagnostic practice test

I am about to start to prep for the DAT and am planning on taking it this summer. I was advised to take a diagnostic practice test before I begin my prep, and am just wondering which one I should take. I have the topscore exams and the Kaplan blue book. Would taking one of the two included exams in the kaplan blue book be a fair diagnostic indicator? Thanks

yes,

save the top score for when you have finished all your prep and would want to test yourself under similar DAT test day conditions.
