So I have been told to get a medical or veterinary dictionary and to pick among Stedman's Dorland's, and Sauder's

Any recommendations or does it not matter?

To be honest, you don't really need a dictionnary plus they are kinda pricey! I bought Dorland's and I NEVER opened it.
You can just use the internet to basically find everything.
That's just my opinon.

The only reason I have one (Stedman's) is because my sister is letting me "indefinitely borrow" her's from when she was in med school. Otherwise, I was told my by big sib it's not essential, and that the internet/library can cover you for most things.

I swear there was a recent (very recent) thread about this. Or perhaps it was on VIN? Anyways, I really like my dictionary. Blood's (Saunders) is the one I have. If for nothing else - it's great to look up long weird-sounding words as you pretend to study (procrastinate). Believe it or not, I still use the vet dictionary on occasion (and I'm over 1 year out of vet school). Nice to know that I am spelling things correctly or using them in a grammatically correct manner (trying to be a professional here, hehe).

Angelo84, you will have access to an online veterinary dictionary through Tufts's library system. I can't remember which one it is (it isn't Steadmans or Saunders) but it was fairly useful.

I have a copy of Saunders that I really like... but I didn't use it much past first semester. If you use a laptop to study/attend class, you probably won't really need a hard copy 🙂
