ONe of the programs i really liked never got back to me with a thank you note. All the other programs wrote me thank you notes for coming. I know alot of times it is just a courtesy or formality, but how about when they don't even get back to you?

I received no love from any of the programs I interviewed at and still managed to match. No worries. 🙂

I heard from less than half the programs (in path). I think it just depends on the program.

I heard from a few schools in IM. Most of those schools were ones that pay for your hotel the night before, so I think it's just a program-dependent thing. The 2 I liked the best, I haven't heard anything, but I'm not taking it personal b/c these are popular and busy programs.

I heard back from all the anesthesia programs where I interviewed (n=9). Again, probably specialty-dependent.

I think this is specialty dependent as the previous posters have said. As an obgyn applicant, I have only received a handful of thankyou notes from the places I interviewed at. My friend who applied to anesthiology last year got thankyou notes from every program that he interviewed at.

Heard back from all except one. I emailed the assistant PD and dude just ignored me.....might be his norm....or maybe he hates me lol

The only thing I've received is ONE mass email from a program coordinator to all applicants, thanking us for coming. Nothing else. I've interviewed at 11 general surgery programs.

i've recieved generic thank you's from 2 of the 8 programs that i've interviewed at so far (one left) and 1 thank you letter with specific details from my interview, from the PD 😉

i don't think that these mean much to be honest. i know that others, in rehab atleast, did not recieve anything from where they matched.

Two e-mails and two letters (four separate general surgery programs). I'm not really expecting all of my programs to get back to me, so I'm not really sweatin' it.

Got one "Thank you" letter from PD....out of 6 interviews (path)!

i received 1 letter in regular mail and 3 emails from PD . I attended 9 interviews.
