Hi,
I got into NYU but for some reason wont be able to join this year. I know there is a provision to defer the admission.
Has anybody done this or know somebody who has done it?
What do I have to do and what are the chances?

congrats on getting into nyu, you can talk to the admissions dept an dthey will be able to help you that shuld'nt bea problem.so when did you get the acceptance letter from nyu , did you go in for the interview and when.
go to the admissions dept and get the work done soon dont waste time

Hi there, just write to Novella Jones for defferal.
NYU will ask for 1000 $ for next year.
U can defer for 1 year , beyond that I have no clue.
No special application is required.But double check with the College that they have received the Defferal request.

Hi green emerald,
As far as I know they will defer the adm for 1 year.I know 1 person who got the adm defered last yr & it was easy.
Question of cancellation does not arise.But to double check call adm office.
Make sure u have copy of deferal request with u just in case u require it later.

Hi pendejodo,
I was interviewed on 15th of April at NYU.
I called them just 2 days back and Ms.Amy Knowles told me it would take them a couple of weeks to send us letters as they are reviewing all the applications including those interviewed on 22nd and also those in the waiting lists.
I think we can expect to hear from them sometime later this week or the next.I shall post as soon as I hear anything from them.
