Did anyone else have their four free GRE score reports not send?

I got my GRE scores about two weeks ago, and ETS said that two of the four schools I selected no longer exist.

Sadly for ETS, they do exist. But their 1990's computer program failed to recognize them.

I know I have to resend them, but I was wondering if I should argue with them, since technically I didn't get all four of my free reports sent, or if I should just suck it up and pay for them?

Suck it up and pay for them...it'll take too long to dispute, and you would hate to have your applications not reviewed because you did not have your GRE scores sent in time.

Sorry to be so harsh...just my opinion.

Agreed. It would probably take longer to argue your case and have them re-send the scores than it would to just request scores be sent out. I've never had ETS just not send my scores but the first time around they sent them to the completely wrong schools (I double checked the codes I put in both before and after the fact). I just sent in another request for the schools and eventually they got to the right places.

I would phone ETS first and see if they can do anything for you. You have proof that you ordered them and the schools do exist so it shouldn't be that much of a drama.

30 bucks is 30 bucks. Plus tax and the phone fee turns out to be about 40.

If they won't do anything after the phone call, then just order them and fight it, but I would definitely spend the 15 minutes and call them first.

That happened to me. They had me fax over a score request form with the four schools, "attn:" to the person I talked to on the phone. It was pretty painless. I think it depends if you get a competent customer service rep 😛

I'll definitely be calling them in the morning.

They also sent a third to the wrong University of Maryland (they sent it to college park instead of Baltimore County).

So essentially, I got one free score report 😡 Sucks since I'm only applying to seven schools!

ETA: The one school that did get the report is my #1 choice. I wonder if this is supposed to mena something... 🙂

I would pay and have the reports sent but then argue to get your money back for four tests. ETS-GRE sent me the book Practicing to Take the GRE General Test 10th Edition (labeled as $21.00 in the U.S.) which they billed to my credit card. The only problem was that I never ordered it. I called ETS-GRE and then e-mailed them. Finally, they reimbursed the money. However, I still had the book. So I e-mailed again asking if I should send the book back to them and they replied that I should keep the book.🙂 Of course, I already had a copy, so now I have two. I think they thought that the GRE was changing so the book would be obsolete but then the test remained the same. I should see about selling it on Amazon.😀

You mean other than the 45 to 60 minute wait on the phone... make sure your cell phone is charged.

Mark

Depends what time you call at. Usually only takes me about 10 minutes to get through, if that.
