I was wondering if anyone got a Post-bac letter from Creighton, and if so what does this mean. Does this mean that I am being rejected for dental school? and if so is this a two year program? and also does this gain you admission for next cycle?

Thanks,

P.S. If anyone has any more info on his post bac program please feel free to comment.

Thanks again

Hey, I applied to Creighton too, but didnt get that letter (I've gotten nothing so far). I enrolled in medical science masters program when I did not get admitted after undergrad. It is 2 yrs long, 34 credits, including a masters thesis ( i finish in April 2006). It sucks, but I am doing pretty well, and I am admitted for 2006. I do not think that if you do post-bac, that they will automatically admit you b/c each year is a new cycle and everything starts over. But it may help to get you admitted for the next cyle. If you do post-bac, make sure it is a masters program and not just classes at some noname school. Also, I have talked to numerous schools that like the medical sci program (I have taken classes such as: biochem, anatamy lect & lab, pharmacology, microbio, toxicology, endocrinology, and pathophysiology). Basically, it cant hurt to do it. A lot of dinguses on SND say NOT to do post-bac, but I have called each and every school that I applied to (20 of them), and asked. Pretty much all of them liked the program (ie: look at U of Pitt website under reapplicants). I do not know where u are from, but I know that the med sci program is offered through some med schools, ( I'm doing mine at Wayne State School of Medicine in MI).
Good luck, if you have any other quest, feel free to ask.

Well in the letter they say if you successfully complete the program (3.5 GPA, and get 16 in each area of DAT offered in March) then they will give you admission to 2007 cycle. You will still need to submitt all the information but they give you this and a 10,000 dollars scholoarship and you are eligable for 2 more scholorships. The thing about it is, there are only 5 seats available for this program. Does anyone else know anything else about this program, and do you have to be economically/educational disadvantaged?

Thanks...

Program?? Creighton program, or program in general?? med sci program?? masters program?? I dont knoe what u refer to

For DENTAL, I'm thinking its a new program, b/c no one knows alot about it. Well i'll just call the school and get the scoop.

If you look at Creighton's website there is a pre-Dental post-Bac link that gives some information on the program. As you said, calling the school would be the best way to find out more information. Good luck.
