Did anyone get way lower than expected on 1/31 or higher than expected on 1/30?

So from what I can gather, 1/30 test was notoriously difficult and 1/31 test was notoriously easy....

based on what we all know about curves, that means the 1/31 curve should be much harsher than the 1/30 curve

so I'm wondering, who scored lower than expected on 1/31 or higher than expected on 1/30?

I just wanted to see how these curves all play out in the end...

i think im def a weird case...i scored 31.5 on aamcs and averaged 36 on kaplans and ended up with a 34...i honestly felt like i scored a 28 or 29 after i finished the test....i really wanted a 35, but i mean given my aamc averages and how low they were, i think i should genuinely be happy about the score...i usually hear kaplan is harder than aamc and that your aamc should be higher than kaplan, but i was completely the opposite....

1/30 test - avg 35-36 ish... real score 40. I thought BS was really easy so that score wasn't as surprising as the PS score. I thought PS was really hard. I wouldn't be surprised if the scaling was easier on that section.

soo not happy with the 1/30 test. It's like it found my all my weaknesses. I would say the verbal was terribly annoying but apparently someone got a 15 on it so I'll shut up. You make your own luck.

The 1/31 test was my third MCAT (retook due to previous low PS scores). My PS went up from 7 to 12, whereas I was expecting more like a 10. But my verbal score went from 13 to 11, and my bio score went from 11 to 10. Basically, the easy test helped me in my weakest section, but hurt me in my strongest sections (especially verbal). I noticed the exact same pattern on AAMC practice test 10: unusually high PS score (13), but unusually low VS and BS (both 11).

It's actually not too hard to understand; on a section like verbal, I already get very few questions wrong (usually 3 on a 40-question practice test), but I can never seem to get below that level of error. That's usually an excellent performance compared to the average test taker. If the test is too easy, the average test taker's performance will go up, but I'll still have my 3 wrong answers, so I won't be as far above average.

Took the 1/30 test. I was getting 32-38 on my AAMC practices, trending upward towards the end, and got a 35 on test day. My section scores came out 13/9/13, which is about right for each section.

I scored slightly lower than I expected on 1/31, but not to the point I would retake...was average 35 to 36 on practice tests, got a 33...really statistically insignificant difference as far as I am concerned.

I scored 5 points below my average and 3 points lower than any practice MCAT I took.... Yeah the 1/30 blew! Congrats to those who managed to get your average or higher.
