Hello all. Just took step 1 of COMLEX and USMLE this week and well, I'm not feeling too good. I did not anticipate being so pressed for time. I ended up leaving 8-10 questions blank/randomly answered on both the COMLEX and USMLE. I suppose out of a total of 322/400 questions that is not very much but it left me leaving either exam feeling pretty bad. Has anyone had a similar experience and ended up meeting/exceeding their goal?

Well, according to FA the NBME estimates 60-70% correct to pass. Assuming you got 8 questions per block wrong (the 8 you left blank/random guessed) you would get 82% right. Someone who can't finish the block in time (or even come close to finishing it in time) probably doesn't have a good handle on the material and probably didn't answer the 266 other questions correctly. You legit left some blank? Cmon. Troll thread?

Yeah I left about 5 total blank, not 5 per block. I was trying to quickly fill them in randomly with about 10 seconds remaining but the computer hung a little. I'm not sure if my wording was confusing. First pass of UWorld was 52% & NBMEs were in lower 200s back in July so I spent the following 4 weeks writing out FA. Finished 1/4 of UW after resetting & final pass of FA. 78%. Never took another assessment exam in those last 4 weeks as I felt I did not have time. Not sure where to feel I stand after struggling with time & these next 2 weeks waiting for my score are going to be stressful.
