Did anyone score 235+ while using FA + UWorld mainly?

The title explains my question, I think. I read various books once (like Goljan, RR Biochem etc), but I keep hearing in multiple places how you need more than just Uworld and FA to score well. My goal is 235+, and I am wondering whether it is possible to just use those two sources mainly for memorization (using other sources now and then for conceptualization only) to reach the score. Some answers?

Short answer: yes. If you know and understand both resources throughly, I think you'll be able to hit that mark quite easily.

Thanks to both of you for the answers. I feel that I am getting down/understanding the concepts well for the most part; I just kept getting nervous after reading these previous threads where people would continue saying good score (235-240+) is impossible without also memorizing another source, such as Goljan. I read it once, helped me understand concepts for the most part...but I just couldn't see me memorizing the thing especially along with FA. I guess I will just keep hacking at it with my duo FA and Uworld.

And oh, I went to NBME website to sign up for a practice NBME test. They said they will send me a permit...I guess you must go to the testing site instead of taking it at home like you could with UWSA? It would save some time for studying.

Thanks again.

You only need to memorize lots of sources if you learned nothing at all in the first two years of medical school. You will remember more than you think.

It's definitely possible. Just got a 254 with FA and ~70% of UW 50q sets, random only, only reviewed the ones I got wrong though for the majority of the questions. I had high hopes of using Goljan's book a lot but only ended up reading the first few chapters. I would recommend listening to his lectures though (did that on the way to school/working out/etc.)

Good luck!

Yep, I did FA and USMLE world (80% complete) and listened to goljan lectures and got 255/99. You can do it!
