Suppose you had a cut somewhere on your hand. Let's say the cut was of moderate size but didn't outright bleed.
The next day, with latex gloves on each hand, you ended up soaking your hands in fluid. The gloves weren't visibly torn or anything. But you notice pain on the site of the cut after the fluid accumulated onto the gloves. It almost felt painful as washing a fresh cut/injury in water.
What causes this pain? Is it the temperature of the fluid? Or could it have been from fluid seepage through the gloves and then the fluid entered the wound itself? Please enlighten me, as I am not a skin expert by the long shot.
