Did I apply too late this cycle?!

I have a 3.77/33.

I applied kind of late, I got most of my secondaries in by august 29th. I applied to maybe 12 schools, and I've only received one interview invitation back. Can anyone who applied this late detail when they started hearing back for interviews??? I applied to every school in Ohio, U of Miami, Oregon, and Vandy (I know vandy is going to extend invites on the 15th), and various others.

you weren't late. you are impatient.

interview season goes until April.

stop thinking about these people who get auto-invites to places like Michigan (a horrible practice IMO) and just wait it out. if all your ducks are in a row and with those numbers, you're fine.

I'm guessing you're an OH resident. you're even more fine.

it would probably be best for you to browse MDapps to find the information you're looking for. Use the advanced search and you can narrow it down by school, whether they got an interview, etc. then, depending on the person whose profile it is, they may have filled in the dates, and you can hopefully find someone comparable to you. that will give you more answers than waiting for people to post here.

You're fine. I would guess you're an Ohio resident? They're still sending out plenty of invites, not to worry. I wasn't compelte most places until 9/1 (second MCAT score), and I just got invited from a school I was complete at on 9/24.

The process isn't the same at every school, so it's hard to predict anything. Try to relax.

I applied even later than you. I took the 08/05 MCAT - and I am not even complete yet at some schools!!

At least you got an interview - I don't have anything - and I'm not even applying in-state!!!

I know people who applied even later than me and got accepted so don't worry about it

August completion won't kill you at even the earliest of schools. It's not early but it's not late. As long as you have a good app you'll be fine.

Well my AMCAS wasn't verified until 9/29 and so I didnt start sending out secondaries until early october. As of today, I have interviews at Pitt, Yale and Cornell so relax. As long as you've done your job, the interviews shall come.

Your stats are decent enough, I have heard from past applicants that most schools really want a complete app no later than labor day.

I'd rather be impastient than screwed, I'll just keep telling myself i'm the former. 🙂 I am an OH resident, it's just bothering me I haven't heard back from Wright Staste, Cinci, or NEOUCOM. 🙁 Many of my friends with similar stats have gotten interviews invites at cinci already...
