Did I just buy a whole bunch of not useful books?

My school had a book sale today and I bought a bunch of books but I am not sure if I bought the right things. Here is the rundown:

FA for peds, OB/GYN, med and srugery.
Pretest for family med, ob/gyn, surgery and peds.
Case files for family med.
Surgical recall.
MKSAP 4.

I should have probably done more research last night about these books on here but I guess I got lazy. I spent about $150 for all these books together which is not terrible ($40 for MKSAP alone.) but I thought to myself that I can't go wrong with FA. Is that the case for most clerkships? I used FA for psych for my first rotation last month and thought it was good. There were no Step up to medicines today that I could find so I guess I should try to order that online or something.

I have been hearing good things about pretest books in general. Please let me know what you think of my purchases or if you have suggestions...Thanks.

It's not bad. You'll need MKSAP. Surgical recall is not good for the shelf, but great for reading up if you're short on time before OR. FA is not as great for other rotations as for psych. Case files are good, and pretest is the main q source for most rotations. You didn't buy anything useless.

FA for peds, OB/GYN, med and srugery. - didn't use all these but for the most part FA is usually pretty good. Can be a tough format to memorize though. I would at least buy Step Up for medicine.
Pretest for family med, ob/gyn, surgery and peds. - some people don't like pretest, but I think if you get through the 500 q's you will be in good shape
Case files for family med. - good as anything, tough shelf
Surgical recall. - good for pimping, I didn't read
MKSAP 4. - worth it but can be found for free

Every book is useful. The question should be "Do you have enough time to read and learn everything in them all?"😱
