Did NOT pass COMLEX II, and already matched to residency programs. Any problems?

Hi guys,

Definitely need your advice. I am currently a DO graduate to be and have matched to a residency program starting next month. Unfortunately did not pass COMLEX step II but will try again in Aug (in the midst of residency). Will this affect my residency position? Do they know that I haven't passed, or is it something I have to let them know. I told the department secretary, who didn't seem to think it was a problem.

If anyone knows, or has been in a similar situation, I'd greatly appreciate the advice.

You can enter into your internship without passing your step II's. This is what the secretary told us during our interview session as someone asked this exact question.

I believe you are going to have to let the program know. Something to do with setting up your step III's.
