The trick is to try to register for the test you just took and for which you are anxiously awaiting results. If your scores are in and you passed, it won't let you. The trick can devastate you, though, if your scores aren't in yet... you won't know if there not in or if you failed...

Oasis trick is only for IMG's so don't freak out when it doesn't work. your USMLE ID and password won't even work.

As antsy as I am about getting my scores back, I would have to have a numerical score to go by, not just a nebulous "well maybe you passed, maybe you failed, maybe we haven't gotten to your scores yet"

why dont u just ask ur school. they get your score the same day they are released. i thought the usmle site says that all testers bw late may-late june get scores on july 14?

I called NMBE yesterday and they reiterated that july 14th will be release date for scores.

they said that your school gets them on a secure website and you get them via mail.
that's why they get them first.

I tried the Oasis trick just now. The site didn't recognize my USMLE ID # to tell me if my score was reported, so I went ahead and tried to register to take the test. I'm kinda freaked because it let me go through all the steps! Maybe it's because I just took the test 2 weeks ago and my scores aren't in. I hope I didn't just find out I failed! 🙁

Ok I was checking today that there was a long thread in my post. When I asked about the trick I didn't realize that in this forum there are no IMGs. I don't know if you can check or not Oasis but the trick is so simple. 3 weeks after your test, on Thursday 0 hs central time Oasis is updated, then if your score was reported try to reapply to the step you took. If they let you that means you didn't pass (or just wait for official confirmation) but if you passed when you try they are going to say in red that "you can't reapply for a test you have alredy passed" and that means for sure you passed, then what you need to confirm is the score.

ok everyone talks about this oasis site and never provides a link... also is it "updated" the same time as the schools get our scores??! (which is on a W) I dont really see the purpose if it is.

I tried this trick last year, it let me register again and I freaked out. It was a most unpleasant day until the dean called me and told me that I passed.
IF you are not an IMG do not try this trick.
