No, I personally felt it to be a great waste of time and money.

No. the teachers suck. i felt like they knew less than me and was reading out of their notes most of the time. but the book they give you are pretty comprehensive and i felt was better than any other PCAT prep books out there.. i did most of the studying on my own out of the books
Thanks for the insight. I saw some posts about the Kaplan course saying it was a waste of money. I bought the Kaplan book and felt that it was overkill for the exam. I won't say that I did well on the exam, because who knows?, but I am glad I didn't spend $1100 I don't have.hy01 said:No. the teachers suck. i felt like they knew less than me and was reading out of their notes most of the time. but the book they give you are pretty comprehensive and i felt was better than any other PCAT prep books out there.. i did most of the studying on my own out of the books
However, $1100 is a meager investment if it leads to your dream job. I just didn't have $1100(I only had $45 for the book and $200 for the test, after late registration fees and additional score report requests). Good luck to all the 10/22 PCAT'ers and I hope our posted PCAT questions don't hurt our percentages due to Wilma.

I studied using the Kaplan PCAT book and Kaplan GRE/GMAT math review, and while it was extremely lacking for calculus and organic chemistry, for the qualitative, verbal, reading comprehension, and biology sections I thought it was extremely useful. I remember skimming the book one last time before the test, and a few of the questions on the PCAT looked exactly like something out of the Kaplan text.
I'm thinking of Iodine and Thyroxine especially. The math problems in the GRE/GMAT book were great, and actually helped me be able to do a lot of the qualitative problems without thinking about them a lot, since I'd had so much practice doing variations of them.
However, the organic was pretty weak in their review materials, and I'm glad I looked over my old calculus notes, and didn't rely on Kaplan for those sections.
