Did they change the PCAT FORMAT ?

Yes, I believe it is now 48 questions and 2 essays.

You will have less time to complete the PCAT with the June 2007 format changes. In comparison to previous years, the questions involve a little bit more reading and might take longer to answer. I noticed this the most in the biology section - there were a few questions where you had to look at figures and answer questions regarding them. Overall, it's nothing compared to the passage-based style of the MCAT though.

I just skimmed through the pcat candidate booklet and the new times are:

Writing: 30min
Verbal 48 questions 30min
Chemistry 48 questions 30min
Reading Comp 6 passages 48 questions 50min
Quantitative Ability: 48 questions 40min

Please Note: Only 40 questions count towards our score. The other 8 questions are experimental and will not affect our score Also 1 writing essay is experimental. They are doing the experimental questions to see if they are ok to use for future pcats.

To be honest, I think thats crap. What if i spend a lot of my time answering a question that will not even count!!!!!! lol
